Training Review
VTC Training - Project 2003
Presenter: Brian Culp
The Virtual Training Company has been providing training for a wealth of software
applications for some time and has more recently begun developing soft skills training. One of these offerings is a
relatively painless way of becoming familiar with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
.
The VTC approach is to present a checklist outline of topics, with each
check list item representing a video tutorial or presentation. This format lends itself nicely to a wide variety of
Technical and Management topics, especially software applications and management disciplines. The VTC format breaks
up the video presentations and tutorials into small segments of no more than 15 minutes each, with most ranging
from three to eight minutes. The result is a nice digestible training program that can be interrupted and
resumed without a great deal of confusion.
The VTC pricing model allows for purchasing a single course on CD for $99.
Additionally, courses are available
online as streaming videos for either a monthly fee of $30 or annual fee of $250. In both cases the amount of
training that you can take is unlimited.
VTC's Microsoft Project 2003 Is a course in using this powerful
tool. Product managers need to track project resources, time, and cost, schedule tasks efficiently,
exchange project information, and communicate with resources while maintaining control over a project. VTC author,
Brian Culp, teaches users Microsoft Project 2003, an invaluable project management tool that allows product
managers to take control. Learn how to start projects, create and edit tasks, assign resources to tasks, share
project information, and much more.
